SKATING swans passed on their wisdom to 12 eager young cygnets at the Princess Theatre.
Three of the stars of Swan Lake on Ice showed 12 of Melbourne's most promising young skaters what they are capable of at a skating masterclass.
Swan Lake an Ice artistic director Tony Mercer said the masterclass was a strenuous session that involved jumps, double-jumps, and double and triple axels.
Imperial Ice Stars Anton Klykov, Andrei Penkine and Svetlana Maskevitch, who all started skating between the ages or three and six in Russia, understand the importance of helping talented young skaters.
The students from the Olympic Training Ring in Oakleigh South were thrilled by the rare opportunity. Particularly keen was young dynamo Kassidy RaeBrowelh 11, who has been tipped as a possible future Australian representative.
