The Sleeping Beauty on Ice at Beaulieu
Set in the heart of the New Forest, Beaulieu offers a fascinating and varied day out. Step behind the scenes of a stately home and meet the Victorian staff at Palace House; view the historic ruins of Beaulieu Abbey founded in 1204 by Cistercian monks; marvel at the world renowned National Motor Museum, which houses a unique collection of some 250 vehicles, from early examples of motoring to James Bond’s modern-day wonders; and climb aboard the first Monorail in the country and travel a mile long circuit around the 38 acres of gardens, grounds and parkland on the banks of the beautiful Beaulieu River.

Dining
Visitors to The Sleeping Beauty on Ice will be able to picnic in the Tented Ice Palace Garden or in the designated car park before the show commences, while enjoying magnificent views of Palace House and its grounds. Light refreshments can also be purchased from the Ice Bar.

Beaulieu is situated in the south of England, in the New Forest between Bournemouth and Southampton, with easy access from London and the Home Counties.
- By Road: From London take the M3, then the M27 westbound, exiting at Junction 2 on to the A326. Follow the brown and white tourist signs for either Beaulieu or the National Motor Museum. The approximate travel time from London is 2 hours.
- By Rail: Take the train from London Waterloo to Brockenhurst. There is a taxi rank at the station, the cost of a journey to Beaulieu by taxi currently costs approximately £20.
- By Ferry: Take the ferry across Southampton Water to Hythe, ride the oldest pier train in the world, then take the 5 mile bus ride to Beaulieu.
