The Sleeping Beauty on Ice at Chatsworth
Set in the heart of the magnificent Peak District National Park, Chatsworth is one of Britain’s best loved
historic houses, and home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Encompassing more than 1000 acres of
beautiful landscape and over 400 years of history, the house, garden, farmyard, playground, shops and
restaurants offer a memorable day out.
The Sleeping Beauty on Ice ticket-holders wishing to walk around the grounds or visit the House will be charged the standard/discounted group entrance fees.

Visitors to
The Sleeping Beauty on Ice will be able to bring their own picnic and enjoy the magnificent views of Chatsworth House and the grounds from the Tented Ice Palace Garden before the show commences. Ticket-holders to the grounds or House will be able to picnic in the gardens.
Alternatively, Chatsworth offers a number of restaurants and cafes that can be accessed at no additional cost.

Directions

- Chatsworth is in the middle of the country, easily accessible from major roads and railways. There are also improving public transport links to the estate.
- There is a charged car park at the southern end of the park, open all year round, and charged parking near the house during our visitor season. Pre-booked coach parking is free, as is parking for visitors with disabilities who show an blue badge.
- Chatsworth is 8 miles north of Matlock off the B6012. It is 16 miles from the M1 Junction 29, signposted via Chesterfield (follow brown signs), 42 miles from the M6 Junction 19 and 30 mins from Chesterfield rail station.
- Direct bus services stopping outside the house operate from Sheffield, Chesterfield, Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton.
- Bus 170 from Chesterfield and Bakewell serves Baslow.
- Many other bus services call at Baslow, a 25 minute walk through the park to the house.
