The world’s leading theatrical ice-skating company, the critically acclaimed Imperial Ice Stars bring their spectacular, lavish new production of Fairytale’s on Ice for touring availability for 2024 and beyond. Created by Tony Mercer and Inaaki Fernandez of the Lets Go company in Spain , this specially designed production was created with the festive season in mind and performed to almost 100,000 people during its 4 week run in Madrid during December 2023 / January 2024.
One of the most artistically challenging ice shows ever created, Fairytale’s on Ice garnered outstanding reviews during its premiere launch in Spain. The Imperial Ice Stars continue to be a crowd pleasing company of ice performers and have thrilled across-the-board during its tours of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. They have also performed in Holland, Italy, Singapore , China , Germany , Hong Kong , Latin America , Canada , and at the UK’s Royal Albert Hall.

So far almost fourteen million people across five continents have greeted The Imperial Ice Stars’ adrenaline-infused performances with standing ovations. Over the last 20 years, The Imperial Ice Stars have performed at many of the world’s most prestigious venues, from Sadler’s Wells in London’s West End to the Esplanade Theatre in Singapore, from Montreal’s Place des Arts to the Alte Oper in Germany. The Imperial Ice Stars are the only ice-skating company to have won a theatrical award – the Manchester Evening News ‘Best Special Entertainment’ for their production of Swan Lake on Ice.
Fairytale’s on Ice is a new interpretation and novel twist on the classic tale of the “Nutcracker” bringing in journey’s from the land of Snowflakes to take in Cinderella Land, Little Mermaid under the sea, Aladdin Land , Snow Queen and Never Never land .
An exhilarating combination of theatre and extreme sport, Fairytale’s on Ice breaks new ground in the world of ice dancing. Renowned for their daring on the ice and unique style of story-telling, the 23 strong cast will perform fabulous skating feats, some never before attempted in competition or on an icy theatre stage.

Performed on a specially-created stage, frozen at minus 15 degrees Celsius, Fairytale’s on Ice boasts stunning special effects including fire, flying, magnificent projected scenery and costumes created by the renowned designer, Veronika Pasternak.
Artistic Director and Producer Tony Mercer says “The ‘Nutcracker’ story has been told in many different ways, I wanted to give our version a new setting while retaining the ingredients and emotions of this timeless story.”
